Yes, with the right configuration: gas ballast, a pre-condenser or moisture trap, corrosion-resistant materials and the correct oil, plus shorter oil-change intervals. For heavy moisture, strong corrosives or particles, an oil-free, dry screw or liquid-ring solution is usually safer.
