Rotary vane vacuum pump (oil-lubricated)
The robustly built rotary vane pump is also suitable for applications with larger pressure differentials in vacuum or pressure operation. An eccentrically mounted slotted rotor rotates in a cylindrical pump chamber; precisely matched vanes slide in the rotor slots and separate the individual working chambers. Unlike oil-free rotary vane pumps, oil-lubricated rotary vane pumps seal the working chamber with circulating lubricating oil. Because oil-lubricated rotary vane pumps can generate a higher vacuum, they are suitable for applications requiring a higher vacuum.
