Rotary vane vacuum pump (oil-lubricated)
The rugged rotary vane pump is also suitable for applications with large pressure differences in vacuum or pressure operation. An eccentrically mounted slotted rotor rotates in a cylindrical pump chamber, with precisely matched vanes sliding in the rotor slots to separate the working chambers. Unlike oil-free rotary vane pumps, oil-lubricated rotary vane pumps seal the working chamber with circulating oil. Since oil-lubricated rotary vane pumps generate higher vacuum, they are suitable for applications requiring higher vacuum.
